Common Questions

Frequently asked questions about deploying AI agents with Black Ops.

Scope, timelines, integrations, data, retainers and markets — answered directly.

Updated:

Black Ops (blackopss.com) deploys AI agents for companies in Latin America. You send a brief, we scope it in writing within 48 hours, and a first version goes live in 4 weeks. Thirty days of post-launch support are included. No packages, no tiers, no hourly billing.

What does Black Ops actually do?

What is Black Ops?

Black Ops is an AI automation agency at blackopss.com. We build and deploy AI agents that run business processes end to end for companies in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Argentina. We are not the video game franchise, not the marketing agency, and not the defense consultancy that share the name. We deploy agents.

What is a custom AI agent?

A custom AI agent is an AI agent built around one specific process in your company, from intake to output. We map the process, define the decision logic, and build to a spec you approve. You own the result. Deployment takes 4 weeks, with a monthly iteration retainer available after launch.

What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?

A chatbot answers questions inside a conversation. An AI agent executes work: it reads data from your systems, decides what to do next, calls tools, and produces an output — an invoice processed, a proposal drafted, a ticket routed. Chatbots respond. Agents finish the task and report what they did.

How does an engagement run?

How does the first conversation work?

Everything starts with a 30-minute conversation about your company, your process and what you sell. No discovery call is required to send one, and no budget figure is expected. It takes about sixty seconds to write, and it is what we scope against.

What happens in the scoping session?

Thirty minutes on video. We map the process together: where the work starts, who touches it, what data moves where, and what a correct output looks like. No slides. We finish with the agent's inputs, decision logic, outputs and integrations defined, and you receive the written scope within 48 hours.

What do I need to prepare before the scoping session?

Three things. A description of the process as it runs today, including the exceptions people handle by hand. A list of the tools involved and who holds admin access to them. One real example of a correct output. You do not need a requirements document, a budget, or a technical specification.

How long does a typical deployment take?

Scoping session within one week of your brief. First version live in 4 weeks depending on integration complexity. You review and approve before anything goes into production.

What if my process is more complex than expected?

That is exactly why we scope before building. If new complexity surfaces during the spec review, we adjust the proposal and you approve the change before any additional work begins. Nothing is built and nothing is billed against an unapproved scope. You can also cut scope down instead of raising it.

How does the technical side work?

Which tools does Black Ops integrate with?

Agents connect to whatever the process touches: CRMs, spreadsheets, email, chat, document stores, ERPs and internal APIs. If a system exposes an API, an agent can use it. If it does not, we scope the workaround before the build rather than during it.

What happens to my data?

Your data stays in your systems. The agent connects to the tools you already own and reads what the process needs; we do not migrate your database or keep a copy of it. Access scopes are written into the spec you approve, so you know exactly what the agent can read and write.

Do I need a technical team to work with you?

No. You describe the business problem — we handle the architecture, build, and deployment. Your job is to tell us what's broken. Our job is to fix it with an agent. The one thing we need on your side is someone who can grant access to the tools the agent will use.

Which AI models does Black Ops use?

Agents run on large language models, selected per task rather than fixed by policy, because accuracy, latency and cost shift depending on the step. Our team builds and deploys with Claude Code. The models used in your agent are named in the spec you approve before the build starts.

What happens if the agent gets something wrong?

Every agent ships with guardrails: the cases it is allowed to decide alone, and the cases it must escalate to a person. High-stakes steps stay human-in-the-loop by design. Errors are logged, reviewed and corrected in the monthly iteration cycle, which is how the agent gets more precise each month.

Who owns the agent once it is deployed?

You do. The agent is built for your process and handed over with the spec that defines it. Which model applies to your engagement is stated in the scope document.

How is the investment determined?

How is the investment determined?

Based on scope: complexity of the process, number of integrations, and expected output volume. We give you a fixed price after the scoping session — no hourly billing, no surprise invoices. The scope document reaches you within 48 hours of the session, with the timeline and the investment range attached.

Why does Black Ops not publish prices?

Because there are no packages and no tiers to price. An invoice agent handling 200 documents a week and an agent that answers customer requests across three channels are different builds with different integration counts. Publishing a number would mean pricing a template we do not sell. Your number arrives in writing within 48 hours.

What does the monthly retainer cover?

Ongoing iteration: refining the agent's logic as your process evolves, adding integrations, improving output quality, and monitoring performance. Most clients start with a 3-month retainer after launch. It is not a support contract — it is the reason the agent is more accurate in month six than in month one.

Can I cancel the retainer?

Yes. After the initial three-month period the retainer runs month to month and you can stop it at the end of any cycle. Cancelling ends the iteration work; it does not switch off a custom agent you already own. If you restart later, we pick up from the last deployed version.

What happens after the 30 days of post-launch support?

The included window covers fixes and adjustments after go-live at no additional cost. When it ends you either move to the monthly retainer for continued iteration, or run the agent as delivered. Nothing switches off on day 31. Most clients move to a retainer because processes keep changing.

Where does Black Ops work, and in what language?

Which countries does Black Ops work in?

Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Argentina — Spanish-speaking Latin America. Engagements run remotely, so no office visit is required and time zones stay close enough for same-day turnaround. Companies outside those five countries can still send a brief; we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

In which language does Black Ops work?

Spanish and English. Scope documents, specs and agent outputs are delivered in the language your team works in, and an agent can be built to read one language and answer in another. This site is published in both: this page in English, and its Spanish version at blackopss.com/es/preguntas-frecuentes.

How do meetings run?

Over video, thirty minutes, at your working hours. The scoping session is the only meeting required before a scope exists. After that the default is asynchronous: written updates and a staging link you review on your own time, with calls booked only when a decision needs one.

Terms used on this page — agent, guardrails, human-in-the-loop, integration, scope — are defined in the Black Ops AI agent glossary. What Black Ops is and how it works is covered on the Black Ops entity profile, and the service is described on the service page.
